COMPETITION I & II/BS
Qirat Competition
for I & II (B/S) was held on 15.05.11
Elimination Round was held class-wise and the
participants were selected for the Final Round.
The competition began with the recitation of
beautiful verses from The Holy Quran.Master
Nayeemullah Shareef of IB3 recited Surah Al-Alaq;
creating an Islamic atmosphere and it attracted
the young minds attention and motivated them.[

Singing Competition (III-V Block G.S)
The new academic year started with great
enthusiasm and zeal in III-V block G.S. The solo
singing competition conducted in two phases
on 27th April and 2nd May
2011 was a good beginning that set off the trial
for the multitude of co-curricular activities.
Melodious songs in various languages
reverberated the auditorium. The patriotic song
sung by Miss. Gayatri of class IIIA-4 mesmerized
the audience. The English song sung by Rida
Khanum of class IVA-8 was remarkable. The
excellent rendering by Amal Mushtaq of class
VA-2 took the audience back to the golden era of
Lata Mangeshkar.[

Earth Day
III-V-
BS
The
students and staff put up a grand show celebrating Earth Day on
22 April. They highlighted the factors that are responsible
for this
plight of the beautiful and life enduring planet. Talking
about pollution levels, landfills, deforestation, use of
plastics etc. the students presented a skit and put forth the
ways by which each one could contribute in conserving the Earth
and its resources for future generation.

Students
Economics Seminar 2011-12
 The
students of Economics of grade XII organized a seminar on
Wednesday 27/04/11 under the guidance of Senior Economics
Teachers Mr. B. K. Raju and Mr. Mohammad Imran.
Nine
groups of students presented their insights on different topics
of Economics of grade XII using Ms Power point. After the
successful presentation of their topics speakers answered the
queries of the audience quite convincingly.

ORGANISED BY THE SCHOOL’S BOYS’ SECTION
FOR THE STUDENTS OF COMMERCE BATCH ON

VISIT WAS MADE TO CORO BINZAGAR TO ITS
SUNTOP DIVISION. THE AIM OF THE EVENT
WAS TO LEARN THROUGH EXPLORING ,ABOUT
THE INDUSTRIAL PROCESSES, PACKAGING,
LABELING AND OTHER MARKETING ACTIVITIES.

CHEMISTRY SEMINAR
A seminar based on the topics of
Chemistry of class 12 was held on 9th
may 2011 in the Boys’ section
auditorium. Five groups of students from
classes XII B 4 and XII B 5 presented MS
Power Point on topics such as Electro
Chemistry, solid state, Colloids,
Electro Chemical Cell and Colligative
properties of Solutions.
CCE AWARENESS PROGRAMME
Parents of IX and X students attended an
awareness programme on CCE on 19th
and 20th April from 7.30 pm
to 9.00 pm in the Boys’ school
auditorium. The programme mainly focused
upon eliminating the apprehensions of
parents on CCE and giving them insight
on the tools and measures use in CCE.The
HM of IX_XII BS MR. P Noufal in his the
Key note address emphasized the aims
and objectives of CCE and its need in
the present changing trend of education.

 REPORT
OF THE FIELD TRIP
An educational field trip was held for
students of grade XII (Science stream)
to a rubber processing factory located
at industrial estate, Jeddah. The main
works, which have been executing in the
factory, is the processing of rubber
rollers, which are highly used in the
construction of conveyors, at Air ports,
hypermarkets and so on. The site visit
was very fruitful as it revealed lots of
latest technology adopted in rubber
processing which makes rubber harder
equivalent to steel. The working of
machineries and related processing were
explained in a very impressed manner b y
the Engineers who are in charge of

Annual Inter Class Debate 2011-12
The annual inter class debates of XI vs
XII and IX vs X (BS) were held on 30th
and 31st of May respectively.
The topic for XI vs XII was “News
Is No Longer News But What The Media
Makes It.”. Class XI which spoke against
the motion won the championship
y.Master Daud Arif of Class 12 who is
the Head Boy of IISJ is titled as the
Best speaker. Master Bright James George
of class 12 and MasterAli Hashmi of
class 11won the second position and
Master Subhan Riyaz Shaikh and Master
Abdul Muizz won the third position.

Special Assemblies
-III-V BS
Special assemblies were conducted on 1st
May to mark ‘Labour Day’ ,and in the second week
of the month to
observe
‘Mothers’ Day’.Students presented a skit
focusing on ‘Dignity of Labour’ and the bane of
‘Child Labour’. On Mothers’ day they promised
to be obedient not only to their mothers but

World Environment Day
International
Indian school, III – V Boys marked the occasion
–World Environment Day themed “Forests: Nature
at your Service”. An hour long
programme with colourful events that show-cased
conservation of Forests in combating climate
change, Building a Green Economy, underlining
the significance of industries as a part of the
solution as much as they are the problem, how to
reduce greenhouse gas emissions, conserving the
endangered species of animals and plants and the
shift from conventional model to a green
economy. Portraying the different problems that
we may face in future if we don’t make few
simple efforts at an individual level to protect
our blue planet. The programme focused on
raising an awareness among the students and the
little steps they can take for conservation
