Prefect Investiture (III – V boys
section)
Leaders in the making
The
Prefect Investiture ,a very important event on
the school calendar was held for III-V boys
section on 08-05-2011.
The
Head Prefect, Asst Head Prefect and the cabinet
members were selected based on their academic,
co-curricular and extra-curricular performance
during the previous two years and a rigorous
interview session by the CCA members of III-V
block.
The
Head Prefect led the procession of ‘The Cubs
Cabinet’ and the new Class Prefects. The
Principal, Vice Principal Boys section & girls
section, Heads of the various blocks graced the
occasion with their auspicious presence. The
members of the cubs cabinet, House Captains,
House Mistresses and CCA committee members were
honoured. The Head Prefect Master in his
address to the gathering promised to strive for
excellence and bring honour and dignity to
school. Addressing the boys Headmistress Mrs
Naheed Fatima said that she is confident about
the year ahead and asked them to take up their
responsibilities seriously and represent
themselves, their cohort and school and bring
laurels to them. She said that every boy has a
leader in himself and eventually everyone will
be given a chance to be prefect and leader. What
matters is how we approach life and its
opportunities. Her words made an enormous
impression on the young boys. The Principal in
his address to the boys said, ‘entering in the
realm of student leadership remains both a
challenge and an honour’ and he wished the boys
all the best with their studies and prefectorial
duties. The cherubic Asst Head Prefect Master
Hameem proposed the vote of thanks.
The
prefects performed a scintillating display of
lights in various formations as ‘welcome’ , ‘All
the best’ and candle formation spreading the
message ‘Knowledge is light’.
