The academic year 2011-12 started off at IISJ KG
section with great zeal ,enthusiasm and positive spirit at the
new premises. Our hope at the beginning of every academic year
is that , we ensure the finest level of learning and educating
our students.
James Russell Lowell states that
“The best academy is a mother's knee”.-
Let it not be just teachers as their role model but also their
mothers too. It is for this very purpose that the ‘Mothers
Orientation Day’ was held at IISJ KG sec. to enlighten and
educate mothers about their role in educating their children.
The anxious and eager mothers had a healthy interaction with the
teachers in the new classroom setup. It is wise to recognize the
fact that a student spends more than 85% of the academic year
under the direct guidance of parents. Parents, especially
mothers can therefore ensure that the child acquires good
manners regard to elders and teachers ,broad outlook,
understanding and adjustment in the changing world around them.
This combined with best learning resources available at school
will develop children to become pride of their homes and an
asset to the school.
It was ascertained that the seed of education is
sown in KG and nurturing the impressionable childhood is a
divided duty . We at school, ensure a conducive
climate to ensconce each child and harness his/her mental and
physical prowess to the best of their abilities and it will be
an added advantage if the same is reinforced at home.
The teachers with illustrative templates aimed at
sensitizing mothers on various scholastic and non scholastic
issues like assignments ,projects , homework policies,
curricular & non curricular activities, discipline & classroom
behavior and health issues regarding some children.
Assessment policies were presented to the mothers
to make them aware of formal and informal testing in UKG and LKG
respectively followed by an assessment , evaluation ,
intervention and follow-up.Teachers reassured their role in
building up of mutual respect, trust and an affectionate rapport
during teaching – learning process. An iota of retrospection is
warranted on both the sides to achieve their goals. The overall
outcome of orientation was to form a triangular union of student
, teacher and parent with student centered issues being the
focal point and student being the primary benefactor of this
union.
The event was wrapped up by the assurance from HM
KG Mrs. Ayesha Rafai with a note that we again will strive to
accomplish our set goals and start our new academic year’s
resolution to achieve the best for our beloved children given in
our charge.
