EDITORIAL
Perseverance is not a long race; it is
many short races one after another

With committed perseverance towards the Indian community
in Jeddah, IISJ has embarked on yet another endeavour to
reach out to its thousands of esteemed parents. Thus a
News-Letter encapsulating the activities of the school
shall be at the disposal of the parents periodically.
At the end of the 1st
Term, we are beholden to all our parents for helping us
to achieve the short races of perseverance with their
constant support and co-operation. We highly appreciate
the trust they have in us and hope to serve them in a
better way in future.
With a deep sense of gratification, this edition of the
News-Letter is offered to each one of you before we step
in to the 2nd term. |
Consul general praises the school
IISJ CELEBRATES
ANNUAL PRIZE DAY :
The Annual
Prize Day was celebrated ceremoniously on 11 June 2009.
The Hon. Con sul
General of India, Mr. Sayeed Ahmed Baba, graced the
occasion as the Chief Guest along with other Guests of
Honour and distinguished guests. The programme unfolded
with a few verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the
Welcome Address and Annual Report. Awards were given to
the students of all the classes who excelled in
academics. Speaking on the occasion the Hon. Consul
General praised the students and staff of the school for
the outstanding results. The most exciting moments were
the felicitation of the X and XII toppers. Apart from
the students, the secondary and senior secondary
teachers were honoured with awards of appreciation and
commendation for the excellent results.
AISSE & AISSCE Results 2009
The AISSE 2009 Result of
the school was outstanding. Altogether 667 students
appeared, out of which 418 were placed in the first
division,138 in the second division and 84 in the pass
division. While no student failed in the exam, 27 were
placed in the compartment. Hammad Yusuf ranked first in
the school with 95.4 percent. He also topped in the
Kingdom. The other school toppers from IISJ were Shine
Ali (2nd position with 94.2 percent) and
Blessy George (3rd position with 94 percent
).
The AISSCE 2009 Result
of
the school was
remarkable. A total number of 429 students appeared, out
of which 398 passed, 25 students were placed in the
compartment and six students failed. Mariam Siddiqui
ranked first in the school with 93.4 percent, Adeelah
Yahya ranked second with 92.6 percent and Harish
Sudhakaran Nair ranked third with 92.4 percent.
