The Pandemic Scare of H1N1 delayed the reopening after the summer holidays, causing a loss of about 12 working days. Yet with prompt response and action of the concerned authorities the loss was compensated by converting all Thursdays into working days for the VI - XII classes and by rescheduling the academic calendar to suit the purpose.  As a result by the end of the calendar year the loss was covered successfully to complete the academic activities of the mid term session

Staff regularization is a routine procedure of IISJ administration. A double layer regularization process is adopted every year. In service regular teachers are deputed to the higher blocks whenever vacancies arise. These teachers are then regularized after a formal interview. Adhoc teachers are recruited against clear vacancies after qualifying a demonstration. These teachers then appear for a  written test and a formal interview for regularisation. A batch of around 43 deputed and adhoc teachers were regularized  during the second term.
