SPECIAL CLASSES FOR AISSCE & AISSE STUDENTS

As a part of the routine academic programme, the first phase of the special classes was organised for the students of grade XII from 2 Nov 09 to 22 Nov 09. The second phase of special classes will be organised in the month of January, after the second Term Exam, for the students of grades X & XII. While remedial classes will be conducted for the low performing students, through out the third term, until the Board Exams.

CBSE INTRODUCES NEW SCHEME OF EVALUATION

The Central Board of Secondary Education had been contemplating on changes in the system of evaluation vis-à-vis the contemporary needs and demands of education system. Based on extensive surveys and consultations, the Board has introduced the system of internal assessment through continuous and comprehensive evaluation. This system envisages assessing the learner in a holistic manner not only in the scholastic areas but also in the co-scholastic aspects like Life skills, Attitude, Values, Sports and Games.

The scheme has already been introduced in the Lower Classes. The same is being introduced in Grade IX this year with immediate effect.

As per the board’s directions FA3 was conducted before the Hajj Holidays and FA 4 & SA2 will be conducted in the months of Jan and Feb respectively.

However, the students of Grade X of this academic year will appear for the AISS examination in March 2010. Numerical marking will be replaced by grades.

EXAM CORNER

Prefinal Exam : 16 Jan 2010 - 31 Jan 2010.
Gulf Sahodaya Practical Examination: from 16 Jan 2010 onwards.
Gulf Sahodaya Examination (Grade XI) : 10 Feb 2010 - 28 Feb 2010.

Class XII : Examination will commence from 3 March 2010 (Wednesday). Detailed date sheet is available on the CBSE official website www.cbse.nic.in

AIEEE 2010 : 25 April 2010 (Sunday)

All India Pre Medical / Pre Dental Entrance Examination 2010:

Preliminary Examination : April 03, 2009

Final Examination : May 16 2010.

EAMCET : As per newspaper report—In a gesture to the non-resident Indian (NRI) students, the state government has decided to allow them to appear for Eamcet from this year.

With this, the NRI students, based on the marks secured, can claim seats in engineering, pharmacy, medical, dental and agriculture courses under the convenor quota.

Mr Abdul Malik, the Higher Board Member of IISJ left for his heavenly abode on 10 October, 2009.

Fathima Hanan of V A 4 and Mishal Naushad of VIII B9 passed away in a road accident on 10 October 2009.

Mrs. Farhath Sultana, Tamil Teacher of the III - V block GS and Master Faris of VII B6 passed away in a road accident on 21 December 2009.
