CONDITIONS FOR NOMINATION OF
NEW
MANAGING COMMITTEE
1. Only the
Indian Passport holders who will be able to selflessly
devote sufficient time for welfare of the
International Indian School, Jeddah should participate
in the nomination. The application for nomination is to
be submitted upon the prescribed application Form (form
No. 1). The interested candidates may download the Forms
1 to 4 from School
website:

2. The new
Managing Committee of IIS, Jeddah will consist of 07
(seven) members.
3. The tenure of
the Committee will be three years from the date of its
assuming charge.
4. The nominated
candidate shall be the member of the Managing Committee
of IIS, Jeddah for only one term.
5. The candidate must fulfill the following
conditions:
(a) He
must hold a recognized full time University Degree as a
minimum qualification. However, Masters/Professional
degree holders will be preferred for the said position.
The academic certificates must be got attested by HRD/Ministry
of External Affairs.
(b)
He must hold a
responsible position in a well known and reputed
organization.
(c)
He should not be a
serving or a former employee of the School.
(d) He
should not be the spouse or a direct relative of any
employee of the School.
(e) He
should not be the Member of any other International
School Committee or promoted by any other
Committee/Association or Forum/Group/Party. The
candidate should have his own individual merit to be
considered for IIS,
Jeddah Managing Committee.
(f) His
ward should have been studying in the School at least
for one full academic year.
(g) His
place of work and place of residence should be within
the limits of Jeddah/Makkah governorate.
6.
Not more than one
applicant from one Company will be allowed for
nomination.
7.
The Parents of
children studying in Class XII are not eligible to apply
unless they have other children in lower classes.
8.
Parents who have
taken TCs and have no more wards studying in the School
are not eligible to be in the list of candidates.
9.
Parents having a
background of being regular fee defaulter will not be
eligible to be the candidates.
10.
Not more than
two candidates from any one Indian State will be the
Members of the Managing Committee.
The Ministry of Education
(foreign Education) is empowered not to allow the Member
of any previous/existing Managing Committee
to put up his candidature
for the Committee. It is also empowered to consider the
candidature of one or a maximum two Members
of the existing or the
previous Managing Committees to put up their
candidatures for the new committee provided that:
(a) All
the terms and conditions applied to other candidates
shall be applicable to him/them.
(b) The
candidate’s practical contribution in the previous
Committee was distinguished and constructive. Such
candidate must
enumerate his achievements during his tenure in the
existing/previous School Managing Committee, on an
annexure attached
to the main application form.
(c) There
are no complaints or observation against him nor was he
a party to any problem/ issue or dispute which took
place
during his tenure as a Member in the existing/previous
Managing Committee.
(d) All
Members of the nomination should unanimously approve his
candidature to give him another chance to contest as
candidate for the new Managing Committee.
11.
Any candidate, who
indulges in self-publicity or canvassing for nomination
in any manner at any time, will be debarred at an
stage. The candidature proformae (form No. 1) filled in
will be display on our School website for the
information of the parents.
12.
Candidates must submit along with the application a
consent in the Form No. 2 of his employer/sponsor, duly
attested by
the Chamber of Commerce & Industries in which the
sponsor should clearly state that he is agreeable for
the active
participation of the
Candidate in the School Managing Committee meetings and
that the candidate will be allowed without reservation
to
attend the monthly meetings or emergency meetings at a
short notice.
13. He
should submit a brief note not exceeding 100 words in
which he should write down the manner in which he plans
to ensure better education for the children
of Indian Community and the academic progress of School
during his tenure of Membership ship, if nominated.
14. He
should produce a salary certificate issued by the
sponsor of the Organization/Establishment or Head of the
Personnel Department in case he is working with Saudi
Government/Organizsation/well known Multi National
Company. This certificate upon Form No. 2 should be duly
attested by the Chamber of Commerce & Industries, KSA
clearly stating that his salary
(without allowances) is not less than SR 5,000 per
month.
15. The
candidate must attach with his application, the form No.
3 which is the Character Certificate issued by the
Consulate. If candidate wishes to obtain the
certificate directly, he may do so. Else, the School
will forward the form to the Consulate for necessary
action.
16. Self
signed photocopy of the valid iqama should be attached
with the application (original must be shown at the time
of submission of the nomination form).
17. The
candidates’ nomination should be proposed upon Form No.
4 of the two prominent Indian nationals in the Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia should stand guarantee for him in
connection with his conduct and financial soundness.
18. No
correspondence in case of wrong entries on proformae
will be made by the School with the candidates.
Incomplete information will result only in rejection of
the nomination form. Any misinformation, suppression or
distortion of facts will disqualify the candidate at any
stage.
19. Any
indiscipline or any effort to create confusion and
bringing bad name to the election process will
disqualify the candidate from the Managing Committee at
any stage.
20. The
applications received will be forward to
Embassy of India, Riyadh who reserves the right to
reject any application without assigning any reason.
