SPORTS DAY 2011-2012 ( I-II BOYS' SECTION)
I and II Boys section of International
Indian School, Jeddah celebrated its Sports
Day on 15 Jan’2012 at their school play
ground in frolicsome atmosphere. A festive
spirit was created with a well decorated
playground. This year’s sports day started
under the dark clouds as the weather
threatened to spoil the day for our
students.
However the rain stayed away and the weather
was instead pleasant with cool breeze
blowing. The programme started with the
impressive welcome speech by the Head
Prefect Master Jansher followed by the oath
taking ceremony by all the cabinet members
and the contingents. Mr. Syed Masood Ahmed
graced the occasion and declared the Sports
Meet Open. Other dignitaries present were
COE Mr. Ayub Shaikh, V.P. BS Dr. Najeeb Qais
Ammar and GS Mrs. Farahdunnisa and HM’s of
various blocks.
Twenty-four athletic events were chalked out
by the PT Teachers Mr Qamarul Hasan and Mrs
Nahid to bring out the over all potential
and talents of the little buds of I & II-
like fantastic skating show, Teeny-Weeny
Race, Sprint, Humpty-Dumpty, Collecting the
friends, Glass stacking, Chocolate race,
wheel-barrow, Obstacle race , Relay,
Fishing, Kangaroo Race, Ball Balancing,
Relay, Three legged race etc. The students
brought out the sparkle of gems in their
true colours. They gave spectacular
performance, which spoke of discipline,
sportsmanship and competed with full grit
and determination. After the prize
distribution Master Fathin proposed the vote
of thanks. The Green house bagged the first
position followed by Red house in the
runners up position.
Without the sun,
the students from IISJ did all the shining.
Sunday was sure a FUNDAY for the little buds
of I & II [BOYS].
ANNUAL SPORTS DAY 2011-2012 ( III-V BOYS'
SECTION)
The annual sports day 2011-2012 of III-V
Boys' Section,IISJ, was held on 10th
January 2012, at the school play ground in a
frolicsome atmosphere. The event was marked
by a string of spectacular performances
presented by the little champs of III-V
Block, who were brimming with enthusiasm and
sportsmanship. The grand opening ceremony
was graced with the presence of dignitaries
such as principal Mr.Sayed Masood Ahmed,
Vice Principal(BS) Mr. Najeeb Ammar,Vice
Principal (GS )Mrs. Farha, Controller Of
Examination Mr. Ayub Shaikh, Open School
Head Master Mr. Joy and HMs of various
blocks .
The ceremony was auspicated with the recital
of verses from the Holy Quran followed by
its translation. Master Muad Pollakam, the
head prefect of III-V Block welcomed the
gathering. The school flag was hoisted by
the principal, and it was indeed a proud
moment to see it fluttering elegantly, along
with the flags of all the four participating
houses; Red, Green, Blue and Yellow. The
marchpast by the houses that followed
exhibited discipline and hardcore practice
of the students. Then there was the most
auspicious part of the event, the lighting
of the torch. Mrs.Naheed Fatima, the Head
Mistress of III-V Boys' Section, lighted the
lamp and handed it over to the principal,
who in turn handed it over to the sports
secretary Master Joshua T.Jacob. The house
captains and the sports Secretary took the
oath along with the participants. The
principal officially declared the sports
meet open, and released the colourful
balloons to the sky, symbolizing the vibrant
hopes of the sporting students that were
flying high.The mascot of the meet, "Ballu
The Bear", was introduced in a vivid and
vibrant manner, and the cute little fellow
literally stole everyone's heart. The
shining stars of the III-V gymnastics team
displayed their perfectly skillful tricks
and daredevil techniques that kept the
spectators spellbound.
The long awaited athletics events were held
after the opening ceremony. It included
items like racing, skating, getting ready
for school etc. The boys participated
enthusiastically in all of them. The prizes
were given away by the principal, vice
principals and the other guests. The Green
house emerged as the winner scoring the
maximum points. The individual champions
were Master Mudassir Ansari(class5B6,Red
House),Master Syed Bilal(class4B2,Green
House) and Master Saad Abdul Lateef(3B7,Blue
House) in categories A,B and C respectively.
The football trophy was secured by the Green
House and Master Mohd.Nabeel (class
5B3,Yellow House) was declared as the best
player. The Red House bagged the cricket
trophy; Master Faisal Faruq
Patel(class5B10,Red House) was the best
batsman, and Master Shadin M.(5B3,Red House)
the best bowler. The event came to an end
successfully with the vote of thanks,
leaving cherishable and thrilling memories
in the hearts of each and everyone present
there.
